INTRODUCTION
• The contact grill is very suitable for preparing
meat, fish, vegetables, paninis and toasties due to
the adjustable thermostat and floating hinged lid.
• The adjustable temperature can be set from 80°C
to 200°C and the timer up to 60 minutes.
• The floating hinged lid with cool-touch handle
automatically adjusts to the shape of the food and
is also height adjustable.
• The contact grill can be opened 180 degrees and
can therefore also be used as a table grill.
• The grill plates (1) and drip tray (2) are
removable and therefore easy to clean. They are
also dishwasher safe.
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove all packaging material and any stickers
and dispose of them separately so that they can
be recycled.
• Clean the device according to the instructions in
the CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE chapter.
• Some smoke may occur during the first use. This
is normal for new heating elements and will stop
after a short while. This smoke development is
not harmful.
USE
• Place the device on a stable and heat-resistant
surface.
• Make sure the grill plates are securely in place.
Only then can the device be switched on.
• Plug the plug into the socket.
• When the timer is set, the red power light (5)
lights up.
• To heat the plates, the timer must be set to 5
minutes and the temperature to MAX.
• When the plates are at the right temperature, the
green light (6) will light up.
• Place the ingredients to be prepared on the
bottom plate and close the grill. The top plate
moves along, so that even pressure is applied.
• If you want to leave space between the
ingredients and the lid, you can fix the lid at the
desired height using the adjustment knob (8).
• Turn the thermostat knob (3) between MIN and
MAX for the desired temperature.
• Experiment a bit to find the best setting for each
preparation. This will be slightly lower for a
panini, sandwich and fish. For meat more towards
MAX.
• Set the timer button (4) to the desired time.
• The exact cooking time depends on the dish and
your taste.
• When the time is up, a bell will sound.
• Remove the ingredients, preferably with a
wooden or plastic spatula to prevent damage to
the non-stick coating.
• TIP: By pressing the release button (9) on the
side, you can completely fold the top plate so that
it rests next to the bottom plate on the table. In this
way the contact grill can be used as a table grill.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the device after each use.
• First remove the plug from the socket.
• Let the device cool down.
• Wipe the outside and the plates with a damp cloth.
• Do not use sharp metal objects or aggressive
cleaning agents for the non-stick coating.
• After grilling, you can wipe the bottom plate with
kitchen paper as long as it is still slightly warm.
The top plate is easier to clean when the grill has
cooled.
• To remove the grill plates, place your fingers in the
notches of the plate and gently pull it towards you.
• To replace the plate, place one side of the plate
against the two metal holders and press the
other side down until you hear a click and the
plate is secured.
• After each use, excess grease and oil must be
removed from the drip tray and this part must be
thoroughly cleaned in soapy water.
• The grill plates (1) and the drip tray (2) are
dishwasher safe.

and clean it as directed.
