IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the operating manual carefully before utilizing the shredder.

- Ensure that the voltage and frequency of the power supply is equivalent to the shredder’s

specifications. Incorrect voltage may result in destruction of the unit.

- Do not open the housing lid! This can cause serious injury like electric shock! Warranty on the

machine will become invalid once a non qualified person intervenes with the machine.

CAUTION !

1. The shredder will not operate without the supplied basket. The supplied basket has a built-in safety

feature which prevents the shredder from operating. Turn on the unit by the power button on the back

2. The shredder has sharp edges underside the shredding unit, watch out to avoid any injuries.

3. a. The shredder is designed for brief operation. If it runs for too long (more than +/- 10 minutes), the

shredder switches off automatically and must be allowed to cool down for at least 30 minutes before it

is ready to resume operation. The overheat led (7) indicates when the shredders needs to cool down.

b. Do not exceed the max. capacity! The overload led (6) will notify the user when it is overloaded.

4. The shredder is only suited for the shredding of paper, CD/DVD and credit cards, not other

materials like labels, cardboard or plastics!

5. Keep hands and fingers away from the feed opening. Serious injury may result. Be careful with long

hair and with neck-ties, bracelets, and other jewellery.

6. Do not expose the shredder to rain, water, humidity or heat

7. Do not operate the machine unsupervised

8 Always switch the product off and unplug the unit when not in use before cleaning or changing

accessories. Use a damp cloth for cleaning purposes!

9. Do not use in the vicinity of inflammable liquids or gasses. Do not use in the vicinity of corrosive

materials. Never use flammable synthetic oil or oils in an aerosol on the shredder

10. Be careful! The machine will start automatically when AUTO position (3) is switched on!

11. Empty the waste bin (2) when the binfull led (8) is lighted. Failing to do so will decrease the lifetime

of your shredder. The waste box for shredded CD/DVD/CC can be removed and emptied separately

for a better environment.

12. Never operate this product if the cable or plug is damaged.

OPERATION

Remove all staples and paper clips!

1. Put the switch into “ AUTO” (3) position. The shredder automatically switches on when a sheet of

paper or CD/DVD/CC is fed into aperture.

2. The shredder cannot shred paper and CD/DVD/CC at the same time. The shredder will stop

automatically when the paper or CD/DVD/CC is shredded. CD/DVD/CC can only be shred by the

special CD/DVD/CC entry slot.

3. When shredding is completed, put switch into “off” (3) position.

Paper jam

If the shredder fails because of a paper jam, hold the switch in position “ REVERSE” and toggle with

”FORWARD”(4). Remove the rejected paper and feed fewer sheets into the shredder.

Please don’t put your fingers together with CD into the CD

slot (1) when you’re shredding CD (see the following picture).
