Digital luggage scale

1 Safety instructions

The user manual is part of the product and contains

important information for correct use.

• Read the user manual completely and careful-

ly before use.

The user manual must be available for uncertainties

and passing the product.

• Keep this user manual.

• Do not open the housing.

• Do not modify product and accessories.

• Do not short-circuit connectors and circuits.

Do not operate a device if it is not in working order.

In such cases, it must be secured against unintenti-

onal further use.

• Use product, product parts and accessories only

in perfect condition.

• Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture

and direct sunlight, microwaves, vibrations and

mechanical pressure.

• In case of questions, defects, mechanical da-

mage, trouble and other problems, non-recover-

able by the documentation, contact your dea-

ler or producer.

• Do not place or operate the product near open

ames, cooking appliances or devices that ge-

nerate heat such as radiators or stoves.

• Do not exceed the maximum permissible weig-

hing load.

• Do not drop the product.

Not suitable for children and persons with physically

and/or mentally limited abilities.

• Secure packaging, small parts and insulation

against accidental use.

Battery hazards

• The batteries (rechargeable) are replaceable.

• Keep batteries out of the reach of children and

animals.

The digital luggage scale is equipped with a lithium

button cell equipped. If swallowed, there is a risk of

severe internal burns or even death. Seek immedi-

ate medical attention if you believe someone may

have swallowed or otherwise ingested the battery.

• Never use batteries when they are dented, lea-

ked or damaged.

• Remove leaked, deformed or corroded batteries

from the product and dispose them by appro-

priate protectives.

• If a battery has leaked, avoid contact with skin,

eyes and mucous membranes. If necessary, rin-

se affected areas with water and seak medical

attention immediately.

• Do not deform, incinerate or dismantle batteries

and never pierce them with a sharp object.

Extreme heat can lead to explosion and/or leakage

of corrosive liquid. Mechanical damage can cause

gaseous substances to escape, which can be highly

irritating, ammable or toxic.

• Do not short-circuit batteries or immerse them

in liquids.

There is a danger of: Explosion, re, heat, smoke

and/or gas.

2 Description and function

2.1 Product

This product is a handheld digital luggage scale for

weighing luggage.

2.2 Scope of delivery

Digital luggage scale, 1x lithium button cell CR2032,

3 Intended use

This product is intended exclusively for pri-

vate use and its intended purpose. This

product is not intended for commercial use.

We do not permit using the device in other ways like

described in chapter „Description and Function“ or

in the „Safety Instructions“. Use the product only in

dry interior rooms. Not attending to these regulati-

ons and safety instructions might cause fatal acci-

dents, injuries, and damages to persons and pro-

perty.

IP20: This product is protected against medium-si-

zed foreign bodies, but not against water ingress.

4 Preparation

• Check the scope of delivery for completeness

and integrity.

5 Operation

5.1 Weighing and setting the unit of

measurement

1. Press the on/off switch once to turn the sca-

le on.

2. Press the on/off switch again until the desired

unit of measurement is shown on the display.

3. Make sure that the belt is properly hooked.

4. Place the strap around a sturdy holder of your

luggage and close it.

5. Lift the luggage scale and luggage until the lug-

gage oats in the air.

6. Wait until „HOLD“ is displayed.

7. Read the weight from the display.

8. Press the on/off switch once to weigh again.

9. Press and hold the on/off switch once to switch

off the scale.

5.2 Weighing with tare weight

1. Place the strap around the object to be used as

a tare weight.

2. Lift the suitcase scale and the object up, until

the object is suspended in the air.

3. Press the on/off switch once to turn the sca-

le on.

4. Remove the object. A negative weight is di-

splayed.

5. Follow steps 3. to 9. in chapter 5.1.

Alternatively, the tare weight can be set on model

71883 by pressing the on-off switch for about 3 se-

conds after hanging the item.
