The Bluetooth™ headset HBH-PV770 can be connected
to any device with Bluetooth wireless technology that
supports the handsfree or headset profile. This User
guide focuses on usage with a Sony
Ericsson mobile
phone.
Charging the headset
Before you use the HBH-PV770 for the first time,
charge it with the supplied charger or your phone
charger, see figure 3. For compatible chargers, see
figure 4. To be fully charged, a new or an infrequently
used battery needs to be charged and discharged
a
couple of times.
Pairing the headset
Before you can use your Bluetooth headset with your
phone it has to be paired once with the phone. Follow
the instructions from your phone User guide on how to
turn on the Bluetooth function in the phone.
To pair the headset with your phone
1. Make sure the headset is turned off.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth function and Bluetooth
visibility in your phone. (This makes the phone visible
to other Bluetooth devices.)
3. Place the phone within 20 cm (8 inches) from the
headset.
4. Press and hold down the on/off key on the headset
until the indicator light starts flashing red and green
alternately. (It takes about 5 seconds.)
5. If your phone supports auto pairing, press Yes when
you are asked to add the headset to the phone. If not,
see your phone User guide on how to pair a Bluetooth
device. If required, the headset passcode is 0000.
6. The headset beeps and flashes green when
successfully paired.
Note: When in pairing mode, the headset switches off
if you do not pair it with the phone within 10 minutes.
After a successful pairing, the headset will automatically
connect to the phone as soon as it is turned on and
within range.
Putting on the headset
See figure 5. Make sure you place the earpiece
firmly
in your ear. If you need to change the size of
the
earpiece, use any of the supplied rubber rings. The
big
asymmetric ring can be rotated for an optimal fit.
Turning on and off
To turn on the headset
• Press and hold down the on/off key until a beep is
heard and the indicator light starts flashing green.
(It takes about 2 seconds.)
To turn off the headset
• Press and hold down the on/off key until a beep is
heard and the indicator light is turned off. (It takes
about 2 seconds.)
Calling
When you have paired the headset with your phone,
you can make and receive calls as long as the headset
is turned on. For best performance:
• Use the headset within a range of 5 metres (16.5 feet)
of the phone
• Avoid letting walls and solid objects to come
between the phone and the headset
• Wear the headset and the phone on the same side
of your body.
To make a call
• Dial the number using the phone keys. The call
is automatically activated in the headset.
To end a call
• Press the call handling key briefly.
To answer a call
• Press the call handling key briefly.
To reject a call
• Press and hold down the call handling key until you
hear a beep. (It takes about 2 seconds.)
To redial the most recently used number
• Double-click the call handling key.
Adjusting volume
To adjust the speaker volume
• See your phone User guide.
Calling using voice commands
To make a call using voice commands
• Press the call handling key briefly, wait for a beep
and then say the voice command.
Transferring sound
To transfer the sound from the phone to the
headset
• During a call, press the call handling key.
To transfer the sound from the headset to the
phone

Resetting the headset
To reset the headset
1. Enter pairing mode (See steps 1-4 in To pair the
headset with your phone).
2. Simultaneously press and hold down the on/off key
and the call handling key until the indicator light is
turned off.
Note: To use the headset after a reset, you need to pair
it with the phone again.
Battery
When the battery needs charging, the indicator light
flashes red and a low beep is heard. If you do not
charge the headset, it automatically turns off.
To check the battery status
Press the on/off key once briefly:
• one green flash – the battery needs charging
• two green flashes – the battery is medium full
• three green flashes – the battery is fully charged

Troubleshooting
No connection between headset and phone
Make sure the headset is charged and within range of
the phone. Check or re-make the Bluetooth settings in
the phone. Try to pair the headset again.
The headset is automatically turned off
• The battery level is too low. The indicator light on
the
headset flashes red and a low beep is heard.
• If you cannot turn on the headset, try to charge the
battery.
• When the headset is in pairing mode it will
automatically turn off if you do not pair it with
the phone within 10 minutes.
Unexpected behaviour
• Connect and disconnect the charger.
• Reset the headset.
Redial does not work
If the call list in the phone is empty you cannot use the
redial function.
Voice commands
Make sure that your phone supports voice commands,
and that voice commands are enabled and recorded in
your phone before you start using them.

El auricular Bluetooth™ HBH-PV770 puede conectarse
a cualquier dispositivo que disponga de tecnología

la utilización del dispositivo con un teléfono móvil

Sony Ericsson.
Carga del auricular
Antes de utilizar el auricular HBH-PV770 por primera
vez, cárguelo con el cargador suministrado o con el
de su teléfono (véase la ilustración 3). Para cargadores
compatibles, véase la ilustración 4. Para cargar
completamente una batería nueva o que se usa poco,
es necesario cargarla y descargarla completamente
un par de veces.
Asociación del auricular
Antes de utilizar el auricular Bluetooth con el teléfono,
debe asociarlo una vez con éste. Siga las instrucciones
de la Guía del usuario sobre cómo activar la función
Bluetooth en el teléfono.
Para asociar el auricular con el teléfono
1. Asegúrese de que el auricular está apagado.
2. Active en el teléfono la función Bluetooth y la
visibilidad Bluetooth. De este modo, los demás
dispositivos Bluetooth podrán ver su teléfono.
3. Coloque el teléfono a 20 cm (8 pulgadas) del
auricular.
4. Mantenga pulsada la tecla de encendido/apagado
del auricular hasta que el indicador luminoso
parpadee en rojo y verde alternativamente.
(Tardará
aproximadamente 5 segundos.)
5. Si su teléfono admite la asociación automática, pulse
Sí cuando aparezca la pregunta sobre si desea asociar
el auricular al teléfono. En caso contrario, consulte
en
la Guía del usuario del teléfono cómo asociar un
dispositivo Bluetooth. Puede ser necesario introducir
el
código de acceso del auricular, que es el 0000.
6. El auricular emite un pitido y parpadea en color
verde cuando se asocia correctamente.
Nota: Cuando se encuentra en modo asociación,
el
auricular se apaga si se tarda en asociar un teléfono
más de 10 minutos.
Después de asociarlo correctamente, el auricular se
conectará al teléfono de forma automática cada vez
que lo encienda y tenga cobertura.
Colocación del auricular

Si
necesita modificar el tamaño del auricular, utilice

Llamadas
Después de asociar el auricular con el teléfono, podrá
realizar y recibir llamadas mientras el auricular esté
encendido. Para mejorar el rendimiento:
• Utilice el auricular en a una distancia máxima de
5
metros (16,5 pies) del teléfono
• Evite que se interpongan paredes y objetos sólidos
entre el teléfono y el auricular
• Lleve el auricular y el teléfono en el mismo lado del
cuerpo.
Para realizar una llamada
• Marque el número con las teclas del teléfono. La
llamada se activará automáticamente en el auricular.
Para finalizar una llamada
• Pulse brevemente la tecla de gestión de llamadas.
Para responder a una llamada
• Pulse brevemente la tecla de gestión de llamadas.
Para rechazar una llamada
• Mantenga pulsada la tecla de gestión de llamadas
hasta que oiga un pitido. (Tardará aproximadamente
2 segundos.)
Para volver a marcar un número que

ha utilizado recientemente

hasta que el indicador luminoso se apague.

necesario volver a asociarlo con el teléfono.
Batería
Cuando sea necesario cargar la batería, el indicador
luminoso parpadeará en rojo y se oirá un leve pitido.
Si no carga el auricular, se apagará automáticamente.
Para comprobar el estado de la batería
Pulse brevemente la tecla de encendido/apagado
una
vez:
• un parpadeo verde: es necesario cargar la batería
• dos parpadeos verdes: la batería está medio
cargada
• tres parpadeos verdes: la batería está totalmente
cargada

Resolución de problemas
No hay conexión entre el auricular y el teléfono
Asegúrese de que el manos libres esté cargado
y
dentro de la cobertura del teléfono. Compruebe
o
vuelva a configurar los ajustes de Bluetooth en
el
teléfono. Intente asociar de nuevo el auricular.
El auricular se desconecta automáticamente
• La batería tiene poco nivel de carga. El indicador
luminoso del auricular parpadea en rojo y se oye
un
leve pitido.
• Si no puede encender el auricular, intente cargar
la
batería.
• Cuando se encuentra en modo asociación,
el auricular se apagará automáticamente si se
tarda en asociar un teléfono más de 10 minutos.
Funcionamiento anómalo
• Conecte y desconecte el cargador.
• Reinicie el auricular.
La rellamada no funciona
Esta función no se puede utilizar si la lista de llamadas
está vacía.
Comandos de voz
Antes de empezar a utilizar los comandos de voz,
compruebe que su teléfono los admite y que están
activados y grabados en el teléfono.
