IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance and keep it for

future reference. If you give this product to another person, please also make sure

that you give them this instruction manual.

1. Use the appliance only for its intended purpose. Improper use may result in

an electric shock, fire or serious injury and may void the warranty.

2. Neither Westinghouse nor the dealer can accept any liability for damage to

the appliance or personal injury resulting from failure to observe the correct

electrical connection procedures, improper use or incorrect operation.

3. This appliance is for household use only. It is not suitable for commercial,

industrial, or outdoor use.

4. The appliance can only be used to squeeze citrus fruit. Never use it for juicing

other kinds of fruits.

5. This appliance is intended to be used in households and similar applications

such as:

- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.

- Farmhouses.

- Hotels, motels, and other residential type environments.

- Bed and breakfast type environments.

6. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged, dropped or malfunctions. Return the

appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or

electrical or mechanical adjustment.

7. DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION! Do not place or use the appliance near

water or in humid environments such as a bathroom or room with over 75%

humidity. Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquids. Never place

electrical parts of the appliance under running water (see CLEANING AND

CARE).

8. This appliance can be used by children aged from eight years and above

and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, or lack of

experience or knowledge, if they are properly supervised or instructed how to

use the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning,

operating, maintenance or connecting the appliance to the power supply

should not be made by children under the age of eight.

9. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF BABIES AND CHILDREN – Keep the appliance and

its cord out of the reach of children (under the age of 8) during use.

10. This appliance is not a toy. Children must be supervised to ensure that they

do not play with the appliance.

11. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.

12. The use of accessories or fittings other than the original parts supplied with

this appliance may result in an injury, fire or damage and will void the warranty.

13. Position the appliance upright on a stable, firm, level and heat-resistant surface

near a wall socket. Use a heat-resistant/waterproof mat when placing the

appliance on surfaces that can be damaged by heat/water, such as laminated

bench tops.

14. Never store the appliance where it can fall into a tub or sink. If the appliance

falls into water or becomes wet in any way, do not touch it. Disconnect it

immediately from the power supply. Then take it to the retail outlet, the

manufacturer, or an authorized service centre.

15. Follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions detailed in the CLEANING

AND CARE section of this instruction manual.
